"I was trying desperately to find the perfect place for our honeymoon…and I found it!!! Likuliku Lagoon was the best option..yes, I know that it is expensive but it's worth it…we spent 5 nights in a garden bure…very nice traditionally decorated with attention to every single detail, comfortable bed, huge shower with Pure Fiji toiletries….

What can I say about the staff? From the very first moment of arrival until the day of departure all staff was very polite and always willing to help…

The restaurant area is very nice with a great view to the crystal blue water…The pool area is awesome…you can sit there for hours under the palm trees enjoying the tropical view embraced with the Fijian warmth hospitality…on your way back to the bure you can have another relaxing time by listening chillout music together with candles just waiting for you….

I highly recommend this resort…it’s a unique place for honeymooners and romantic getaways providing you the privacy you need…BULA!!!"

For lunch and dinner, the menus change daily, and you will always have a choice of two entrees (starters) and three mains with at least one vegetarian option. Absolutely amazing honeymoon at Namale Resort

"I just returned from Namale after traveling there with my husband for our honeymoon. The resort was more than we could have asked for. The staff was absolutely amazing and did everything possible to ensure we had a perfect experience. The resort is decorated beautifully and the landscaping seems strategically placed to provide a lot of privacy around the resort. From the first day we arrived the staff knew our names and always asked if we needed anything. We both thought the food was fantastic with the exception of some of the deserts, they just weren't sweet enough for us. However, we loved all of the fresh fish and fruits. We ate most of our meals in the dining room because we liked interacting with the wait staff, but you can have your meals pretty much anywhere on the resort. I would definitely recommend lunch or dinner at the waterfall. It was a very romantic experience. We took the Discover Scuba class with Sam and went out diving on our second day. Sam was awesome and helped me feel comfortable learning to scuba. We were also able to go on the energetic hike and see a Fijian village. The people were very welcoming and happy to share their culture with us. We also spent some time in the Kava Bowl and were impressed by the amount of activities they had. We visited the spa for the Sunset Bliss package and were happy with the overall experience. The massage was definitely one of the best that I have received. Overall, the people are what made this vacation so memorable. The hospitality and service were above and beyond what we expected. Room Tip: The ocean tropical bure we stayed in had a fantastic view but needed a little more privacy. I would recommend a villa if you have the extra cash.

Taveuni Palms has the Best customer service I have ever received

"This place is truly amazing. We just returned from 8 incredible nights in the Grand Villa. After reading all the other trip advisor reviews I had high expectations and these high expectations were exceeded!! The views are breathtaking. The master bedroom has door that open all the way to a beautiful view of the pacific…a very peaceful morning sight. We spent most of our lounge time at the pool but there is also a cabana at the beach (to get to the beach you have to go down about 85 or so stairs on a well landscaped path). Any request we had was met with “of course we can do that for you”.

As has been posted before the food is always beautifully presented (we learned quickly that we always wanted to bring a camera to the table!). Not only does it look good but it tastes great! We loved all meals but were especially spoiled with dinner. Our favorites were the coconut crab, papaya soup and lobster! We tried many foods that I typically wouldn’t order from a restaurant menu but we trusted the chef’s recommendations and loved everything.

We also enjoyed a few day excursions. Our favorite day excursion was the bourma falls hike – we went to the 3rd fall and swam in the water – it was definitely a hike but worth it! But most of all we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. We felt so spoiled -- the pool cabana has a service call button built into it. When you want an ice cold lemonade you just press the service call button and they will bring it right out. They have great pool floats and we could just spend hours enjoying the view and relaxing. What sets Taveuni Palms apart is their customer service. Kelly and Tony have really created a magical place. They found one of the most beautiful locations in the world and created a paradise with some of the most friendly and dedicated staff you will ever meet. Everybody we met truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best vacation. I am still in awe of the level of service we received. Without hesitation I strongly recommend this paradise to anyone interested in a true luxury vacation."

Namale is truly Heaven on Earth

"Amazingly beautiful resort. It's hard to describe the experience in words. The time I was there it really felt like heaven on earth. The scenery is absolutely wonderful as each plant is carefully planted and managed throughout the entire resort. Everyone is so friendly and inviting.

I still remember all the boys in the Dive Shop (especially EMOSI) and they were incredible. I got myself PADI certified with Emosi on this trip, and it was awesome how professional he can be, yet still give off this laid-back Fiji demeanor. I've gone scuba diving multiple times in different islands and countries after this, and I don't think you can find a scuba instructor like Emosi anywhere.

The staff also took us to the Sunday church service at their local Fiji town. We absolutely loved it-as we sang praises with the resort staff and their families in an outdoor open service with children dancing to the music.

The staff organizes every meal for you wherever you like it. The best part is that they enjoy doing this so much and smile all the time! There is nothing more awkward than having resort staff members set things up for you without a smile and walk away grudgingly (makes you feel like you're some mean king demanding service!) Over at Namale they make you feel so comfortable, so at ease, and best of all, as if they are there to enjoy WITH you.

I would go back again in a heartbeat if I could. I miss the resort, the staff, and the generous hearts of the locals. If they can improve the food, maybe it would be tooooo perfect."

"Last December I was a guest at Beqa Lagoon Resort, which caters overwhelmingly to divers. This is a big property, situated on one of Fiji's most highly rated dive areas. In all honesty, I am not a diver but I did have a chance to snorkel, swim and hike in the area, which was quite pristine. I also had the chance to visit local communities and visit with one of the village elders. One of the advantages of the property was providing guests with proximity to Fijian village life. Unlike other parts of Fiji, you have the chance to get to know the people if you so choose. Fiji is all about the people and at BLR you can avail yourself of this opportunity. One of the best examples was on Christmas Day when a choir from a local church performed for the guests . It was quite moving. Accommodations were more than adequate. The bures were roomy and everything worked. Service was excellent. The employees are all recruited from the local villages and they really made an effort to take care of you. That's the Fijian way. We can not express enough how wonderful our return to Taveuni Palms has been. From the moment we saw Babu at the airport to our last moments, you have all welcomed us like family (actually better) and treated us like royalty. From Roberts infectious laugh, to Teila's 'sehganalenga!, to Sia's warm greetings each evening and heartfelt words of friendship, this has been an experience we will never forget. It was great to get to know Maria, Silvia & Vina and snorkeling with John was so much fun. Thank you to the world class chefs for putting a few extra pounds on us and making sure that we'll miss their daily delicacies.

To Gareth & Sarah, you are sooo lucky to be here working With Kelly, Tony & the staff! We enjoyed getting to know you over dinner and much wine and hope you are here when we return.

Spectacular Beqa Lagoon Vacation

Bula Lori and all the crew,

Kelsey and I had an excellent time in Fiji. The resort was spectacular, the staff were all so very pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed everything that Beqa has to offer. The diving was beautiful, so many corals and fish I was simply in awe the whole entire time. What a wonderful culture the Fijian people. I had a few very nice afternoons sitting in the village talking story with Joeli, Lita, and their son Sam. What a welcoming and loving people. I literally lost myself a few times in utter happiness. When the choir and the school kids came, each time I was just out of it with the powerful energy they put in the air. I also had a great experience making coconut cups with Tuemo and Blackie who did most of the work despite my efforts to do them myself haha. Anyway I have already and will continue to tell people about the amazing time we had. Mark and Sue were so very helpful with anything we needed or questions we had. Thank you all Lori and the McCoy crew, Mark and Sue, and all of the VERY special Fijian friends that we made along the way for a week of life I will never forget and hope to relive again.

"We have just returned from an amazing honeymoon at Taveuni Palms. The resort is 5 star all the way. Every meal was delicious, the villa is incredible and the staff are all just amazing. We stayed in the lower villa and enjoyed our own private beach, HUGE pool, and the most gorgeous villa. The villas are totally private, you cannot see anyone else and they are so romantic. The resort is like heaven on earth. We did a boat trip with Gareth the onsite resort manager and John the snorkel guide and had probably the best day of my life. "We stayed at Namale for a whole week. From the moment we arrived untill we left, we were treated as royals. I have never met such nice employees as the staff at Namale Resort. Every single one of them. The resort itself and the surroundings are simply breathtaking. We stayed in Villa Duvata, which was the most luxurious accomodation I have ever stayed in. Truly everything was all inclusive, all food, wine, spirits, activities of our choice - no restrictions. The only thing we had to pay extra for was the tanks of oxygen for diving, which was fairly priced. The food was delicious and freshly cooked to order at every meal, no buffets at this small luxuy resort. We had our meals at the restaurant, at our villa, at the beach, by a waterfall - all included. "We spent a week at this lovely resort and loved every minute. It's a small and personalized place with beautiful contemporary architecture. We stayed in one suite while our daughter was in the adjoining suite. Both suites were huge and comfortable, with a living room, bedroom, huge bathroom, big porch with drop-dead views of the ocean, and more inside space, too. When we were in our suites, it was private and quiet and perfect for reading a book while sipping something from the minibar. But just a quick walk down the beach and we were at the warm swimming pool, dining room, library, and reception desk. The food was spectacular, with the menu changing from meal to meal and always surprising us: "How do they make that taste so good?!?!?!" The staff were warm and welcoming, and our trip to the nearby town taught us why: there is a beautiful synergy between the resort and the local community that benefits everyone. It's worth a visit to the town just to meet the great folks who live there and to see their way of life. The snorkeling and boat rides were terrific, and the beaches were beautiful and relaxing. "I, like many people, did a long research on where to go on our honeymoon. I looked into Maldives, Tahiti, and others. I came across a travel agency who suggested Qamea Resort. So I booked it and took the risk. Wow what a place. The service, the people, our room (honeymoon bure named Civa), the beach, the snorkeling. Don't worry about not having anything to do. You have options to always be active or you can just stay in your room and beach. I recommend our bure Civa since it is the last bure on the resort and it is very secluded and private. The food is very good and the service is great, everyone knows your name. We went on October 13 and stayed for 7 nights. If you can stay more definitely go for it. 10 nights would be sufficient. "We stayed at Beqa for a week. The resort is very nice and well kept. The bungalow was spacious although it appeared somewhat dated. Privacy was not a problem and the area between the bure and the water was bordered on either side by thick walls of vegetation. The meals were outstanding. The diving was great, as was the dive staff. They were very helpful and took care of everyone on the boat. We went on an add-on shark dive and it was well worth the extra expense. The dive staff helped mark our gear on the first day and after that, we never had to touch it. It was always set up properly and waiting for us on the boat. The resort runs on a weekly schedule with certain events/activities happening on a given day each week. The activities are designed to try to expose the guests to Fijian culture, such as fire walking, dancing, a kava ceremony, etc. There are several villages on the island connected by footpaths. We walked around a bit but most of the time was spent diving or sitting at the resort.
I would definitely go to Beqa Lagoon Resort again, however I would not recommend it to a non-diver as the whole set up revolves around diving and the boat schedule." - Brad X (Minnesota), Tripadvisor.com

I did not get the meal plan - instead ate most of my meals at the Backpackers restuarant and pub next door (cheaper option). One night however, I did eat at the South Beach restuarant which the fish was devine. Excellent service at all times. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I also did my PADI course on Mana Island - which I also recommend doing - it has so many wonderful dive sites, all very close by the island. Such as providing different toiletries for ladies (coconut fragrance) and men (mana ai fragrance) of pure Fiji products and putting little bottles of water next to the bed during the night time turn down. The food is amazing and alcoholic drinks very reasonably priced. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. You are able to do as much or as little as you like while at Liku Liku and you really don't need to spend any extra money keeping yourself entertained as there are so many beautiful natural wonders around the resort for you to explore. Now, we are scuba divers & the dives were amazing, spectacular and well organised! The resort has it's own boat. My husband even did the Shark dive & still talks about it 10 months later. Our Villa & the view.... you simply have to go to experience it... it is spectacular!!! Funny enough... we actually lost track of days/dates & almost missed our anniversary... but the resort staff remembered & came (even in the rain) to sing us a song & bring us a cake... really lovely!
